On Wednesday, Craighead presented a $1,500 donation to Southern STARRS Executive Director Terry Winfield at The Wilson Post office. Craighead said Winfield has been a longtime supporter of the Whip Crackin' Rodeo and for several years has brought horses to their Special Needs Day. The Wilson Post was a Gold Sponsor of this year's Whip Crackin' Rodeo, assisting with advertisement, editorials and printing event programs.
The long anticipated Eastern Connector road project is near completion with a ribbon cutting planned to celebrate Mt. Juliet's alternate route from I-40 to Lebanon Road.
Non-profit Alive Hospice plans to open a new Lebanon office soon and has invited the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Friday, August 4, at 11:30 a.m.
"We still don't have a victim in hand, so we are trying to piece it all out," Hardy said.
