Other major contributors who have missed significant time include: senior QB Jordan Roundtree (ankle), soph tailback Gabe Angel (knee), senior fullback / linebacker Kaleb Butler (hamstring), soph tailback Vic Johnson (knee), junior lineman Evan Juhnke (knee), junior wide receiver Blake Lea (foot) and senior defensive back Braxon McFarlin (knee)."It's been tough," Coach Dedman said, "but if there's a positive to be had, our younger guys have been taking a lot more reps in practice and scrimmages than they would have otherwise. The situation is something we've had to work through, but it should play off for us in the long run."Roundtree saw his first significant action of the preseason Monday and looked sharp, hitting receivers in stride and connecting with junior Anthony Dobson on a diving catch in the back corner of the endzone for a score.Butler appears to have made good progress from his hamstring injury as he ripped off a long run around left end.Soph Chris Lackey impressed in the junior varsity portion of the scrimmage with a couple of bull-like runs for first downs between the tackles.JAMBOREE -- The Wildcats close out preseason action Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Hartsville Tobacco Bowl Jamboree vs. Macon County. WCHS opens the season at Hendersonville Aug. 23 -- the first of five straight road games.

SEASON TICKETS -- Season passes are on sale in the main office during school hours. Regular season passes are $25, Reserved chair back seats are $45; parking passes are available for $15.
