It's already April!

On Friday, April 8, we hosted a “Girl’s Day Out” at Pinnacle Wellness in Providence. President and Nurse Practioner Brandy Dawson presented guests with information on the Pinnacle approach to complete wellness. Pinnacle offers standard medical services like blood tests, flu shots and well care visits, but they also offer pain management, hormone testing and a weight loss program.

Guests were also introduced to a patient who has lost nearly 20 pounds in four weeks! If you missed our event, you can schedule a consultation with Brandy. You won’t be disappointed. Call Pinnacle Wellness at 553-2218.

Even though it’s almost two months away, the ladies and gentlemen at Wilson Living can’t stop thinking about what to wear to the 2011 Phoenix Ball. This year marks the 33rd year Cumberland University has hosted the fundraising event. A little bird has told us a few of the items up for auction, and they are HUGE! I can’t wait to get my hands on one of the trips to be auctioned off.

We are starting to layout the next issue of Wilson Living. This issue is so special. We have a layout of some of Wilson County’s most wonderful moms. Since we know there are even more special moms in the area this will be a yearly event in Wilson Living.

We also introduce readers to a very special woman. Sara Walker is married to Wilson County native, Brian Walker. If you don’t know Brian, you probably know his dad, local radio host and insurance executive Coleman Walker. Just weeks after her daughter, Anna, was stillborn, Sara was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

In the midst of it all Sara has remained faithful. Her faith chronicled in her blog is what prompted us to write a story about her. We hope you will enjoy reading about Sara and her incredible journey as she tried to teach us all to savor life.

Remember, if you are a fan of Wilson Living on Facebook, do it now! We have giveaways every week, and you can’t win if you’re not a fan.

Until next time, keep reading!
