Private graveside services will be held later this week for Mr. Jackie Ray Partlow, 73, of Lebanon.
Founder of Lebanon's Partlow Funeral Chapel and a 1958 graduate of Lebanon High School, Mr. Partlow died peacefully Monday, June 30, 2014 following several years of declining health.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known to his family as "Pa", Mr. Partlow was born July 25, 1940 to the late Samuel Anderson & Alma Rebecca Lannom Partlow. He enjoyed his early childhood days in "The Glade" with his friends and family.
A 1963 graduate of the John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science and a member of College Hills Church of Christ, Mr. Partlow's lifework was dedicated to serving others with compassion and service.
Perhaps his greatest joy was his family which he referred to as "his little bunch".
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 50 years Linda Partlow; daughter Jnae R. Partlow; son Jason Partlow and his wife Kathy; grandchildren Ashley Blair (Michael) Greer, Hunter Lee Reynolds, Jack Anderson Partlow and Grant Alexander Partlow; great grandchildren Samuel "Critter" Paxton Greer and Pollyanna "Little Miss" Rose Greer as well as many special friends.
Visitation with family and friends will be held between the hours of 2-8 p.m. Thursday, July 3 at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Private services at Cedar Grove Cemetery will be conducted by lifelong friend Bro. Larry Locke.
Mr. Partlow's family expresses special thanks to the staff at The Pavilion for all their love, care, and support and special friend and cardiologist, Dr. Tom McRae and his wonderful staff.
In lieu of flowers, the Partlow family requests contributions be made to the "Jackie Partlow Fund" at Cumberland University, 1 Cumberland Square Lebanon, TN 37087.
