Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Nov. 13 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. McCrary, 91, of Lebanon. A retired driver Tennessee Carolina Transportation and a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. McCrary died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014.
Mr. McCrary was a saved member of Fairview Church as well as an avid hunter and fisherman.
Services were conducted by Rev. Dean Olive. Burial was at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: children Bill Kim) McCrary, Larry (Gail) McCrary and Nancy (Tony) Brown; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister Thelma Olive as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. McCrary is preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Navy Lane McCrary; wife Kay McCrary; infant son David Adam McCrary; daughter Joy McCrary Gill; sisters Eudera Eakes, Edna Robertson and Betty Tuggle.
Active pallbearers: Glenn Edwards, Lane Martin, Jerry Reed, Gary Crowell, David Olive III and David Olive IV. Honorary pallbearers: a host of Mr. McCrary's friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in Mr. McCrary's memory to Fairview Hope Building Fund, 1660 Leeville Pike, Lebanon, 37087.
Lebanon's Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
