James Edward Dedman, 79

Mr. Dedman, 79, passed away Dec. 19, 2014 at his home in Midlothian, Virginia after a brief illness.

He was a native of Lebanon, a 1953 graduate of Lebanon High School, and a retired salesman from Diamond Hill Plywood after almost 50 years.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 10 between the hours of 1-2 p.m. at Bartons Creek Baptist Church, 1530 Bartons Creek Road, Lebanon.

A celebration of life service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Charles McKnight officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Seldon & Mary Woodall Dedman.

Survivors include: sons John Michael, Don Elliott and Quentin Jason.

Also surviving are brothers Billy (Ernestine) Dedman, Raymond Dedman, Charles (Betty Jo) Dedman and Gary (Brenda) Dedman; sisters Mildred Petty, Betty Coleman, Shirley Robinson, Rosa (Danny) Durham, Jane (Eddie) Vaught, and Lane (Eddie) Reed -- all of Wilson County. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express thanks to special friend, Evalene Maxwell, of Virginia for her special love and care during James' illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
