Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Deatirck, 83.
An active member of Green Hill Church of Christ, retired from the U.S. Postal Service and had 41 years of military service in the USAF and the Air National Guard, he died Feb. 13, 2014.
Mr. Deatirck was a member of the American Legion Post 5 in Nashville and the Air Force Sergeants Association.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 and one hour prior to service time Saturday at Bond Memorial Chapel.
Services will be conducted by Bro. August Ruff. Interment with full military honors will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 61 years Gladys Williams Deatrick; son James “Jimmy” Deatrick, Jr. and siblings Donald Deatrick, Robert Deatrick, Dorothy Mattert, Lillian McDonald and Ruth Butz.
Active pallbearers: Lane Wilson, Houston Stanton, Robert Evans, Richard Kendall, Ron Nunley and Marion Nunley. Honorary: U.S. Postal Service employees and the Tennessee Air National Guard.
Mr. Deatrick was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
