Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at Hunter Funeral Home with Pastor John Hunn, Bro. Tim Robinson and Carl Jones officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Lebanon's Wilson County Memorial Park.
The son of the late J.B. and Alla Mae Patterson Oakley, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Louverna Brown Harden Oakley; sons James Patrick Oakley and Thomas Michael Oakley and an infant sister.
Survivors include: his wife, Claydene Dixon Wood-Oakley; in-laws Frances Dixon, Kathy and Tommy Chapman, Chris and Melissa Chapman, Jacob, Nolan Matthew; sister-in-law Jean Harden Milbrandt of Janesville, WI, Dan, Rita and Alex Milbrandt, LuAnn Milbrandt, Josh, Jenna and Jackie.
