Upon returning to Lebanon from military service in World War II, Mr. Dillard worked for Bland Casket Company in Lebanon. In 1949 he went to work for the Coca Cola Bottling Company where he retired with 38 years of service. After his retirement, Mr. Dillard was affiliated with Wilson County Motor Company for 18 years.
The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, in Lebanon Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dillard is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Maggie Vantrease Dillard, his wife of 60 years Frances June Dillard, his son-in-law Mike Linton, great-granddaughter Shaelynn Linton, and brother Odell Dillard.
Survivors include: daughters Debby (Marty) Beaver and Barbara Linton; grandsons Brandon and Chris Linton as well as several great-grandchildren, nephews nieces, numerous cousins, and close friends.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. The family extends a special thank you to Odyssey Hospice.
