Mr. Jeffrey Majors, 48, passed away April 2, 2014, at Lebanon's University Medical Center.
A 1983 graduate of Mt. Juliet High and a former football standout for the Golden Bears, Mr. Majors had been a non-faculty assistant coach with the Wilson Central football program since the school started -- working with the defensive line.
He played college football at Austin Peay State University and was the father of two former Wilson Central players -- J.T. and D.J. Majors.
His remains will lie-in-state, Tuesday, April 8, at Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Lane, Mt. Juliet, between the hours of 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., family visitation from 12 Noon - 1 p.m. with funeral to follow.
Pastor Anthony Dobson will be the eulogist. Interment will follow at Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
Survivors include: wife Demetria Majors; children Jeffrey T., and Douglas J. Majors; father Eugene (Ivy) Majors; grandfather Wilson Cockrill; sister Paula (Rubin) Collick; brothers Larry (Vivian) Word, Kerry and Harry Majors; mother-in-law Betty Douglas; three grandchildren; along with a myriad of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are in the care of Lebanon's J.C. Hellum Funeral Home.
