STRAWBERRY PLAINS -- Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon, May 28 at the Eastview Memorial Gardens in Strawberry Plains for Mr. McCurry, 95, of Lebanon.
A member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and a US Navy veteran of World War II, he died at his residence on Wednesday May 26, 2010.
The son of the late Jerome J. & Dovie Davis McCurry, Mr. McCurry was a a construction heavy equipment operator, serving Local 917 for 65 years.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Martin.
Survivors include: children James Edward (Peggy) McCoury of Knoxville, Wanda Loudermilk of Lebanon and Lorraine Chambers of Jefferson City.
Also surviving is sister Pansy Woody of Green Mountain, N.C.; grandchildren Mike (Chris) Slover, Kathy (John) Hensley, Julie Duff, Donald (Donna) Loudermilk and Carol Ballinger; great grandchildren Megan Loudermilk, Amanda Ballinger, Zac Slover, John Hensley V and Laura Hensley; and great great grandson Colton James Ballinger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Vera Elizabeth Randolph McCurry; three brothers and one sister.
Family to serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. McCurry’s memory to Lebanon’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 522 Castle Heights Ave., Lebanon, 37087.
