She graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1964. From 1965-1968, she was married to Ronald Johnson who has remained a close friend. In 1971, she married Charles Flannery; they had recently celebrated their 42nd anniversary.
Her friends, coworkers, exchange students, and her Boston Terriers held a special place in her life. However, her greatest joy in life always came from her children, birthed and acquired, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Their achievements were the proudest moments of her life, and she was a force to be reckoned with when they needed her support.
JoAnna was compassionate, giving, and down-to-earth; always with unconditional love and honesty. She was active at Crossroads Community Church and participated in their 100 Box Project, for those in need. Her faith in God thrived with the support of her close Crossroads family; with their support and love she received peace and strength through her last moments of life.
All are invited to celebrate her life at Crossroads Community Church 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20.
In lieu of flowers, JoAnna asked that donations be made to her memorial fund solely benefiting the 100 Box Project.
Donations can be made online at crossroadslebanon.securegive.com or mailed to Crossroads Church, PO Box 2729, Lebanon, TN 37088.
