LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 at Lebanon's Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Jody Adams Organ, 62, of Lebanon.
Widow of the late Wendell Organ, who died July 4, 1982 in the line of duty while serving as Director of the Wilson Emergency Management Agency, Mrs. Organ died peacefully at home Sunday, Mar. 7, 2010 following an extended illness.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 Noon until 8 p.m. and Wednesday after 11 a.m. at the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 522 Castle Heights Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Kevin Medlin. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughters Amelia “Amy” Gregory, Joy Gregory (Wade) Mangrum; grandchildren (Grammy’s Sweet Treats) Jackson Wade Mangrum and Callie Faith Mangrum; sisters: Joyce (James) Napier and Bobbie “Jeep” (Henry) Morgan; as well as several nieces and nephews and so many extended family and lifelong friends.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Organ is preceded in death by mother Elsie November White Adams; siblings Linda “Sarge” Gillihan, Wanda Adams, Tommy and Billy Adams.
Pallbearers: Ronnie Gillihan, Charlie Patterson, Terry Patterson, Jeremy Minchey, Steve Morgan, Ted Morgan.
