A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6 at the Immanuel Baptist Church for Mr. Martin, 72, of Lebanon.
Owner of Rapid Print for 38 years, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a 1960 graduate of Lebanon High, Mr. Martin died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd Martin and Nannie Lee Cartwright Martin; infant daughter Tammie Diane Martin, son Andy Martin and brother Tommy Martin.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Partlow Funeral Chapel between the hours of 4-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 12 Noon until the service.
Pastor John Hunn will officiate the services. Interment will follow at the Caraway Cemetery in Gladeville.
Active pallbearers: Wes Elrod, Jim Byrd, Howard Beaty, John Major, Jim McDowell, Ted Aulds and Sam Gamble.
Honorary: Nancy Gamble, Barbara Byrd, Edna Major, Anita Beaty, Dona Elrod, Linda Partlow, Jnae Partlow, Charlotte and Doug Wise, Emily and Larry Lowrance, the Divine Red Hat Ladies and the Lebanon High Class of 1960.
Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Diane Martin; sons Tony (Lee Ann) Martin and Jason (Lisa) Martin.
Also surviving are grandchildren: Taryn (Cory) Franks, Tanner Martin, Brandt Martin and Kemsey Martin; great granddaughter Collins Elizabeth Franks; sisters Molly (Raymond) Carson and Nancy King (Bud) Grubbs; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins along with other loving family and friends.
The family extends a sincere thank you to Dr. Hardie Sorrels. Dr. Tom McRae, Dr. Chris Jones and the nursing staff of Centennial Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made in Johnny's memory to the Back Pack Program, c/o of Immanuel Baptist Church, 214 Castle Heights Ave, Lebanon, 37087.
