Johnnie Mae Wright Yelton Johnson, 71

Mrs. Johnson, 71, of Lebanon passed away Monday July 7, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Earl & Marjorie Underwood Wright of Gladeville and graduated from Mt. Juliet High School.

She was married to the father of her children, Noel Gray Yelton in 1968 until his death in 1983. She then married Charles Cowan Johnson of Lebanon in 1988.

Johnnie was passionate and talented pianist. She played music all over the county, weddings, funerals, horse shows, fashion shows & parties for entertainment as well as playing dinner music at The Plaza Restaurant in Lebanon.

Johnnie served God and her church playing the piano / organ for most of her life serving Fellowship Baptist, Gladeville Baptist and Cloyd's Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was involved in several social organizations such as Cloyd's Cumberland Presbyterian Women, The Love Notes Choral Group and The Eastern Star Chapter #95, Amaranth & the White Shrine.

Survivors include: her husband of 26 years, Charles Johnson; children Allen Gray (Holly) Yelton, Angela Yelton (Brian) Elder, Jim (Jimberly) Johnson, Eric (Lori) Johnson, Connie (Jimmy) Hollis; grandchildren Gus Yelton, Katy Mae Elder, Noel Elder, Parker Johnson, Eli Johnson, Jenny Hearne, Rachel Steele, Matt Steele, Nigel Dedmon, Tanner Dedmon and William Dedmon; brother Wayne (Helen).

Visitation Wednesday, July 9 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice & Elmcroft Assisted Living Facility for their support in her final days.

Arrangements are in the care of Partlow Funeraal Chapel, Lebanon.
