Some local teenagers may be in trouble with the law as they are facing drug and robbery charges.

Lebanon Police Chief Scott Bowen said Thursday that juvenile petitions were drawn but had not been served against some juveniles in an incident that occurred about 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24.

Bowen said officers responded to a call at 1240 Leeville Pike in reference to an assault that had taken place. Officers talked to an adult and a female juvenile who told them she had been assaulted reportedly by two other teens.

Further investigation, however, revealed that all the teens were there to conduct a narcotics transaction, the chief said, adding that charges were expected to be filed.

Bowen said the teens’ plans were to rob the female of the drugs that she brought.

“We do expect charges to come forth,” he said, adding they will be drug and robbery charges.
