WATERTOWN -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 30 at the Hunter Funeral Home Mrs. Mathis, 86, of Watertown.
Retired from the Garment Factory, she died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. Mrs. Mathis attended Round Lick Baptist Church and was a graduate of Watertown High School.
Services were conducted by Rev. Steve Mayle and Rev. Mark Rager. Interment was in Salem Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughter Nancy (Larry) Craddock of Lebanon; son Eddie (Joyce) Mathis of Watertown; grandchildren Tara (Randal) Harvey of Mt. Juliet; Kristy (Scott) Crook of Norene, Chad Craddock of Lebanon and Travis Mathis of Watertown; great-grandson Braxton Crook; brother-in-law George James of Watertown; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband J. Bratten Mathis; parents Joseph Webb and Jessie Talley Armstrong; brother, J.W. Armstrong; sisters Carmine Jennings and Gustine James.
Hunter Funeral Home, Watertown was in charge of arrangements.
