LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Nov. 1 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Sutton, 86.
Widow of former Lebanon High principal Barry Sutton, she died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 in Smith County.
Mrs. Sutton was a member of College Hills Church of Christ and was retired from the State of Tennessee's Department of Employment Security.
Services were conducted by Dr. Larry Locke. Interment was in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Survivors include: step-daughters Peggy Angel Blackburn and Nancy Sutton (John) Bsaggio; brother Leon Jack (Ann) Overstreet; step-grandchildren Angela Bates, Kenneth (Laura) Blackburn and Jennifer (Joey) Lloyd; nine step great grandchildren; nephews Jack (Darci) Overstreet, Clark (Donna) Overstreet and David (Suzanne) Overstreet; sisters-in-law Mildred Martin Overstreet Ulrich and her daughters, Linda Overstreet, Donna (Joe) Medine and Cindy (Paul) Tetreault; Betty Overstreet and her children, Pixie Morgan, John (Sally) Overstreet, Judy & Richard Overstreet; Marian Overstreet McKay and her daughters, Amy (Henry) Behr and Dana Overstreet, Wanda Strong Overstreet Huberts, Bobbie Jones, Robbie and Michael Overstreet; niece Nancy Mullins Omer and several great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Butler & Edna Thurman Overstreet; spouses Lynn Spivey, N.L. Angel Jr. and Barry Sutton; brothers Robert Glenn Overstreet, Joe Frank Overstreet, Kenneth Wise Overstreet and Kelly Thurman Overstreet.
Family and friends served as pallbearers. Honorary: Tuesday Ladies Bible Study of College Hills Church of Christ and The Birthday Club.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Suttons memory to the College Hills Church of Christ.
