Kenneth Jackson, 85

LEBANON -- Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, Oct. 17 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Jackson, 85, of Lebanon. Retired from Tennessee Central Railroad, Mr. Jackson, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at his residence.

Born in Wilson County to the late Ruben Haskell Jackson and Willie Dee Jarret Jackson, he graduated from Lebanon High School in 1942. He was a Ham Radio operator and was a Baptist in belief.

Services were conducted by Brother Jimmy Atnip. Interment was at the Chapman Cemetery.

Survivors included: his wife of 56 years Mary Allen Jackson; son Andy (Cathy) Jackson of Murfreesboro; grandson Andrew Robert Jackson of Murfreesboro; step-granddaughter Sonya Bildine of Auburntown.

Active pallbearers included: Kenneth Hughes, T.A. Bryan, Drew Jackson, Jack Grant, Doyle Taylor and Leonard Segal. Honorary pallbearers: employees of Former Tennessee Central Railroad, local Ham Radio operators.

Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
