MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Broadhead, 82, of Mt. Juliet.
Born in Yorkshire, England and schooled in Drumnalockin, Scotland, he died Oct. 28, 2011.
Mr. Broadhead was a graduate of Cambridge University and was a Spitfire fighter pilot in WWII for the Roayal Air Forceas well as an agent for the British Secret Service.
He was a member of Gladeville United Methodist Church, the Pierce Co. Sheriffs Posse, the rodeo circuit and the Wilson County Grand Squares.
Services were conducted by Pastor Mark Youngman.
Survivors include: his Wife of 20 years Janie Grace Broadhead; daughter Andrea (Ken) Maaske; step-children Christy (Mike) Davis, Richard (Dawn) Andrews and Jeff (Nicole) Andrews; sisters Deliene (Joe) Green, Winnie (Ray) Moore, Freda Cooke and Joy (Allen) Grant; as well as nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and two great, great grandsons
Mr. Broadhead was the son of the late Harry V. and Edna Parker Broadhead.
He was also preceded in death by sons Gerald Broadhead and Graham Broadhead; siblings Kath Dyson, Eric Broadhead and Frank Broadhead.
