LEBANON -- Mt. Juliet bunched together key hits at opportune times to come away with a 4-0 victory over Lebanon Wednesday at Brent Foster Field.
The Bears pushed across a run in the top of the third, then added two more in the fourth and a single run in the sixth.
Starter Aaron Brown worked six innings for the win, scattering five hits.

MT. JULIET -- Mother Nature was the clear cut winner Tuesday, April 11 as the scheduled District 9-AAA meeting between Lebanon and Mt. Juliet High fell victim to torrential rain.
The 7 p.m. first pitch went off as scheduled under threatening skies, but was play halted twice before officials plugged the plug in the top of the third inning.
Mt. Juliet 6, Beech 0 -
SHACKLE ISLAND -- Mt. Juliet's Ethan Smith struck out 12 in five innings of work to lead the Golden Bears to a 6-0 win at Beech.
Smith allowed just one hit as MJHS improved to 9-2 overall / 3-0 in District 9-AAA.
Cade Hoppe went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs.
Wilson County Invitational --
Lebanon 9, Dyersburg 8
Clayton Thorne's base hit in the bottom of the seventh plated Jonathan Presley with the game-winner as the Blue Devils knocked off Dyersburg 9-8 at Brent Foster Field in Thursday's (March 23) opening round of the Wilson County Invitational.
Eli McDearman had a triple and two singles while Thorne finished two hits and Nick Sanders belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth.
Ryan Smith picked up the win in relief of starter Trevor Sanders who struck out five over four innings.
LHS (5-0) is scheduled to host Arlington Friday at 4 p.m.
WCIT opens Thursday, March 23
LEBANON -- Lebanon High tuned up for the annual Wilson County Invitational with an 8-0 victory over Mt. Juliet Christian Academy Wednesday, March 22 at Brent Foster Field.
Blue Devil pitchers Evan Britt and JaKeese Turner combined for a five-hit shutout. Britt started and struck out nine in four innings of work to get the decision. Turner added three strikeouts in his three inning stint.

A pair of baseball luminaries will be on hand as Lebanon High celebrates the opening of the 2017 season with a "Leadoff Dinner" 6 p.m. Friday, March 10 at Immanuel Baptist Church.
Legendary Middle Tennessee Steve Peterson, a recent inductee into the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Hall of Fame will be the keynote speaker and LHS Sports Hall of Fame coach Brent Foster will be presented with the inaugural "Blue Devil Legacy Award".
MJ Bears sweep Station Camp
LEBANON -- Lathon Whittington lifted a long two-out drive off the glove of a Wilson Central outfielder to tie the score and moments later scampered home from third on an overthrow as Lebanon High climbed off the deck to down the Wildcats 3-2 Wednesday at Brent Foster Field.
With the win, the Blue Devils split the season series with Central and improved to 17-9 overall, 5-3 in the district.
"It was ugly, but we found a way to get it done," said Blue Devil coach Eric Vetetoe.
Central sweeps Station Camp
MT. JULIET -- Lebanon High's baseball team earned a split of its District 9-AAA series with Mt. Juliet Wednesday, April 13 scoring three runs in the top of the sixth for a 5-4 victory over the Golden Bears.
The win marked the first for LHS over Mt. Juliet since 2010 when Coach Tracy Slone's team turned the trick in a 2-1 game.
"There in the fifth, we dropped a routine fly ball on the infield and they took the lead at 3-2," said Blue Devil coach Eric Vetetoe.
Lebanon 2, Portland 0
LEBANON -- Daniel Holmes tossed a complete game two-hitter leading Lebanon High to a 2-0 win over Portland Tuesday night at Brent Foster Field.
Holmes (4-0) dominated Panther hitters, striking out 11 and walking just one as the Blue Devils moved to 10-4 on the season and 2-0 in District 9-AAA.
Lebanon scored a run in the second as sophomore Jonathan Presley rifled a one-out single into right, scoring Dalton Squires who had reached on a double.
