Mt. Juliet improved to 2-0 on the season following Thursday's 5-2 home win over Wilson Central.
Leading 2-1 at intermission, the Lady Bears scored three second half goals to put the game on ice.
Maya Bender and Ally Cole each scored twice for the winners while Haleigh Walker added a goal.

Not wasting any time, the soccer teams from District 9-AAA rivals Wilson Central and Mt. Juliet get together Thursday evening, Aug. 17 to open their respective 2017 schedules.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Mt. Juliet High.

Recent Mt. Juliet High graduate Stephanie Phelps signed papers Friday, June 23 to continue her education and softball career at Gallatin's Volunteer State Community College.
Phelps, the daughter of George and Kristi Phelps, was a first baseman and the only senior on the roster for the Lady Bears.
Lady Bears advance to 5-AAA finals -
MT. JULIET -- Shaking off a short turnaround after winning the District 9-AAA tournament Saturday, Mt. Juliet's Lady Bears earned a trip to Henry County with a 4-3 victory over Clarksville High Monday in the opening round of the Region 5-AAA tournament.
Ninth grader Alyssa Costley went the distance in the circle for MJHS, limiting Clarksville to six hits.
MJ's Wilson earns TSWA honor
Mt. Juliet High volleyball standout SaraGrace Wilson has been named Class AAA All-State by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.
An outside hitter for the Lady Bears, she will attend Troy University on scholarship this fall.
The senior helped lead Mt. Juliet to a record of 29-5 and the District 9-AAA regular season championship.
Lady 'Cats improve to 9-0
LEBANON -- Wilson Central picked up the pace in the second half with a 22-6 third quarter run in Friday night's 50-24 victory at Lebanon's Campbell Brandon Gymnasium.
Leading 19-9 at intermission, the Lady Wildcats rode the red-hot shooting of point guard Piper Elrod who knocked down six 3-pointers in the second half and led all scorers with 18 points.
Wilson Central (9-0 / 3-0 District 9-AAA) out-rebounded LHS 35-21, converting many of those rebounds into 22 second chance points.
(boys) Forrest 59, MJ Christian 44
CHAPEL HILL -- Forrest marched to the charity stripe 18 times and converted 16 free throws in Monday's 59-44 victory over visiting Mt. Juliet Christian Academy. The Rockets led 16-9 after one quarter and 27-14 at intermission.
MJCA was led by Logan Anderson with 14 points. Tyler West and Bailey Jones each had nine points in the loss.
The Saints connected on 7-of-8 free throw attempts.
MJ Christian is scheduled to host The Webb School Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Lebanon 3, Gallatin 1
Lebanon High celebrated Senior Night Thursday, Sept. 29 with a 3-1 victory over District 9-AAA rival Gallatin.
Game scores: 25-18, 26-28, 25-16 and 25-17.
The Lady Devils finished the season with a 6-8 mark in the district standings.

FCS downs Davidson Academy
NASHVILLE -- Friendship Christian's volleyball team improved to 13-8 on the season following Monday's 3-1 victory at Davidson Academy.
Game scores: 25-9, 25-20, 24-26 and 25-20.
Alycia Long led the attack with 12 kills and four blocks while Bayley West contributed 11 kills, a pair of service aces and a block.
Morgan Vallett chipped in with 11 kills, six digs and three aces.
Cameron Burton finished with 24 assists and 10 digs. Libby Nave recorded 22 digs, four assits and a block; Kendall Tipton had nine kills, two digs and a block.
FCS hosts a pair of matches this week at the Bay Family Sportsplex -- taking on St. Cecilia Academy Wednesday, Sept. 14 and Battle Ground Academy Thursday, Sept. 15.
Former MJHS pitching star
In sports, it's not uncommon for a player to transition to coach when his or her playing days are over.
Some would say it's a way of giving back to the sport that gave them so much opportunity.
Mt. Juliet native "Kenzie" Roark would agree with that statement.
Since she pitched her last game at Virginia Tech in 2011, the former Hokie standout has made the move to coaching.
MJHS 11, Station Camp 11
HENDERSONVILLE -- Mt. Juliet's Lady Bears roared back with an 11-1 victory over Station Camp Monday in the loser's bracket of the District 9-AAA softball tournament at Veteran's Park. Makayla Draper drove in five runs for Mt. Juliet with a three-run homer and a two-run single.
MJHS improved to 18-24 on the season headed into a scheduled loser's bracket contest on Wednesday.
Wilson Central tagged Mt. Juliet with a 6-5 loss in eight innings Friday in the district opener for both squads.
MJ plays "loser-out" game Monday
HENDERSONVILLE -- Mt. Juliet's Lady Bears are scheduled to take on Station Camp 7 p.m. Monday at Sumner County's Veteran's Park in a "loser=out" game of the District 9-AAA softball tournament.
Mt. Juliet slipped to 17-24 on the season following Friday's 6-5 loss in eight innings to Wilson Central Friday in the tournament's opening round.
The Lady Bears held an early 4-0 lead, only to see the defending state champs claw back into contention, then score the winning run on a pair of fielding errors.
Mt. Juliet High soccer standout Nikki Blais signed scholarship papers Friday morning, March 4 with Milligan College -- an NAIA program located in Elizabethton.
The daughter of jason and Liz Blais, Nikki plays forward for the Lady Bears is is looking to pursue a career as an Occupational Therapist.
Former MJHS pitching standout
AMES, Iowa - Iowa State freshman and former Mt. Juliet High pitching standout Savannah Sanders was named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Sanders piled up a 3-0 record at the 2016 Cyclone Indoor Invitational, with a win against IUPUI and a pair of victories over an Eastern Illinois team that only lost two games all weekend.
Fryer nets 500th career win
PORTLAND -- Mt. Juliet's girls bounced back from Saturday's upset loss to Beech with an ugly 29-23 win over Lebanon in Monday's District 9-AAA consolation game at Portland High.
Ugly or not -- the game marked the 500th career victory for Mt. Juliet head coach Chris Fryer. A MJHS graduate, Fryer has an overall record of 500-95 (an .840 winning percentage).
Golden Bears record 20th win
GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central's Lady Wildcats completed a perfect regular season with Friday night's 51-43 home win over Mt. Juliet.
WCHS ends the regular season 26-0 / 14-0 in District 9-AAA headed into Wednesday's district tournament opener against No. 8 seeded Gallatin at Portland.
Point guard Piper Elrod knocked down six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points to lead Wilson Central. Kendall Spray added 15 while Addison Byrd and Kathryn Bean each had six.
Spray breaks own record
PORTLAND -- Wilson Central's Kendall Spray bettered her own single season record for 3-pointers in Tuesday's 67-28 victory at Portland High.
The UT-Martin signee connected on six of her 10 tries from beyond the arc and finished with 28 points.
The six 3-pointers gave her 141 for the season -- breaking the mark she set last year of 139.
Greeneville 60, Mt. Juliet 48
GREENEVILLE -- Mt. Juliet's 10-point first half lead went by the boards as host Greeneville rallied for a 60-48 win over the Lady Bears in Tuesday's second round of the Landair Ladies Classic at Hal Henard Gym.
Tavie Bell had 25 points on a 10-of-16 effort from the field to pace Mt. Juliet, but was the only player reach double figures. Karly Dyer and Julia Maki each had eight points while Cassidy Harris chipped in with five.
