Five former Wilson County baseball standouts will have one more opportunity to wear their school colors Thursday in the sixth annual MidTN Senior All-Star Classic is planned for Vanderbilt University's Hawkins Field.
Sponsored by Warner Athletic Construction and Top Tenn Baseball, the event had been staged at Cumberland University's Ernest L. Stockton Field since its beginnings, but the ability to play on an artificial surface presented organizer Davey Cothran with an opportunity that was almost too good to pass up.

Mt. Juliet 4, Station Camp 3 (8 innings)
MT. JULIET -- Brayden Osborne's homer to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning handed Mt. Juliet a thrilling 4-3 victory over District 9-AAA rival Station Camp Wednesday.
The Bears (15-7 / 5-1) led 3-0 until SCHS tied the score with single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh.
Aaron Brown has 9 K's
LEBANON -- Mt. Juliet bunched together key hits at opportune times to come away with a 4-0 victory over Lebanon Wednesday at Brent Foster Field.
The Bears pushed across a run in the top of the third, then added two more in the fourth and a single run in the sixth.
Starter Aaron Brown worked six innings for the win, scattering five hits.
Wilson Central stands 2-1
KISSIMMEE, FL -- Wilson Central's baseball team is off to a 2-1 start at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
WCHS opened play Monday, March 13 with a 6-0 victory over TMI-Episcopal (TX) as Wildcat hitters pounded out 10 hits in support of winning pitcher Ryan Hill. Hill threw a seven-inning two-hitter, striking out five with no walks.
Mason Mobley, Chase Ford and Ethan Shelton each had two hits.
Wilson Central pitching standout
GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central senior Ryan Hill signed a National Junior College Athletic Association national letter of intent with Marion Military Institute (Ala.) Friday morning, Jan. 27.
Hill, a righthanded pitcher, is the son of Rob and Tammy Hill.

MJ Bears sweep Station Camp
LEBANON -- Lathon Whittington lifted a long two-out drive off the glove of a Wilson Central outfielder to tie the score and moments later scampered home from third on an overthrow as Lebanon High climbed off the deck to down the Wildcats 3-2 Wednesday at Brent Foster Field.
With the win, the Blue Devils split the season series with Central and improved to 17-9 overall, 5-3 in the district.
"It was ugly, but we found a way to get it done," said Blue Devil coach Eric Vetetoe.
Lebanon 2, Portland 0
LEBANON -- Daniel Holmes tossed a complete game two-hitter leading Lebanon High to a 2-0 win over Portland Tuesday night at Brent Foster Field.
Holmes (4-0) dominated Panther hitters, striking out 11 and walking just one as the Blue Devils moved to 10-4 on the season and 2-0 in District 9-AAA.
Lebanon scored a run in the second as sophomore Jonathan Presley rifled a one-out single into right, scoring Dalton Squires who had reached on a double.
