Loucks leaving for Rutherford Co. --
Wilson Central Principal Travis Mayfield has promoted Geoffrey German to take over the boys soccer program.
German, who will be starting his second year at WCHS in August, served last season as an assistant under former coach Jeff Loucks who will be taking a teaching position at LaVergne High. Loucks, a physics teacher, will assist with the Wolverine soccer program.

Versatile Wilson Central soccer standout James Graham signed an NCAA National Letter of Intent Monday, May 15 to continue his education and soccer career at Tusculum College, an NCAA Division II institution in Greeneville.
Graham led the Wildcats in scoring this past season, despite playing almost half the season as a defensive midfielder.

GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central goalkeeper Kellen Lively signed an NCAA National Letter of Intent and scholarship papers Wednesday, May 3 with Trevecca Nazarene University, a Division II institution in Nashville.
Lively, a two-time all District 9-AAA selection, is the son of Scott and Holly Lively.
James Graham scores hat trick -
LEBANON -- James Graham scored a hat trick to lead Wilson Central to a 4-1 victory over District 9-AAA rival Lebanon Monday.
Graham, a senior, scored in the 10th minute (assist Tyler Gilbert), the 13th minute (assist Julio Cervantes) and the 63rd minute(assist Yovany Rayo).
WCHS 3, Beech 0
GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central tuned up for Friday's District 9-AAA match at Station Camp with a 3-0 home win over Beech Tuesday.
Keeper Kellen Lively rejected four Buccaneer shots as the Wildcats improved to 7-1 on the season.
Si Gutierrez scored at the 20-minute mark, then Ruben Arredondo found the back of the net off a pass from Gio Rayo in the 39th minute.
VOLLEYBALL: FCS 3, DCA 0
Friendship Christian's volleyball team improved to 31-10 overall and 4-2 in East-Middle District play following Tuesday's 3-0 win over Donelson Christian Academy at the Bay Family Sportsplex. Game scores: 25-13, 25-15 and 25-15.
Bayley West paced FCS with five aces, five kills, three digs and a block.
Alycia Long scored five kills with two blocks while Morgan Vallett had four kills, five digs and two aces.
Dillard, Hunter take individual honors
GLADEVILLE -- Wilson County teams swept the top spots in the inaugural 840 Challenge Soccer tournament, with host team Wilson Central High School winning the tournament championship.
Wilson Central went 2-1, besting Rutherford County teams Blackman and Stewarts Creek along the way to winning the tournament, edging out Mt. Juliet High for the top spot.
Former Cumberland head coach
Jeff Loucks, former coach at Lebanon High and Cumberland University, will head the soccer program at Wilson Central High school.
According to athletic director / assistant principal Chip Bevis, Loucks will join the WCHS faculty as a chemistry teacher and will coach the girls team in the fall and the boys team in the spring.
