The Kiwanis Club of Lebanon will host its annual Community Easter Sunrise on Sunday, April 8, on the Public Square in downtown Lebanon.

The service will begin at 6:30 a.m. and will conclude at 7:45 a.m. This year marks the clubs 66th Easter Sunrise event since the local civic club was formed in 1946.

Stephen Manley, Lebanon Kiwanis member and pastor of Cross Style Church in Lebanon, will speak along with Sean Kennedy, pastor and elder at New Life Christian Church in Lebanon.

A community ensemble has been put together to offer their musical talents under the direction of Sgt. Tom Freeman of the Salvation Army.

Last year was our first year to have the event on the Public Square and the rain on the Saturday before moved us inside First Baptist Churchs The Rock, said Sean Patrick, Kiwanis Club of Lebanon member and organizer of this years event.

First Baptist has offered their building again this year if we need it, but I believe the Lord has blessed us this year with great weather and we look forward to watching the sun come up as we celebrate Easter with our community, Patrick added.
