Lady 'Cats thump Portland 78-38

Spray breaks 1,000 points --
GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central's Lady Wildcats improved to 12-1 in District 9-AAA and 22-5 overall following Tuesday's 78-38 victory over visiting Portland.

Junior Kendall Spray led all scorers with 30 points, including six 3-pointers. Spray was honored after the game for having gone over the 1,000 point mark in her career in Friday's win over Station Camp. Spray currently has 1,056 points headed into the regular season finale Friday night at Mt. Juliet.

Addison Byrd added 20 points while Kayla Jackson had six.

GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central's Wildcats slipped to 5-18 on the season and 2-11 in the district after a 49-44 loss to Portland in Tuesday's nightcap.

Dez Mason had 12 points to pace Central, Cortez Allen had nine and Dennis Stallings seven.
