Funeral services for Mrs. Leah Brown Tucker are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 20 at the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kevin Medlin officiating.
Interment will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation Friday after 12 Noon at the Church.
Mrs. Tucker, age 80 of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Quality Care Nursing Home.
Born August 14, 1931, at home in the Leeville Community, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Brown and Ottie Marie Lanius Brown Vaughn.
She is a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School. She and her late husband of over 57 years, James B. Jimmy Tucker owned and operated Tuckers Sausage in Lebanon.
She was an active member of the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a part of the CPW of which she had served in several offices including president. She also was very active in the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce and also in the BPW Club where she had also served in many capacities including president.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Willodeen Brown Neeley and Kathleen Rhea Brown Morris.
She is survived by two children James R. Ronnie Tucker and Peggy (Jerry) Watson; granddaughter Jessa (Aaron) Templeton; two great grandchildren Kailynn and Jake Templeton --all of Lebanon; brother John (Pat) Brown of Jefferson City; and great aunt Frances Lanius of Lebanon.
Honorary pallbearers: Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church CPW. Active pallbearers: Aaron Templeton, Bubba Phillips, William Harris, Sam Watson, Bill Templeton, Larry Stroud, Robin York and Joe Cripps.
