Lebanon Council to meet Wednesday

Lebanon City Council will hold a special called meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 and a budget work session to follow thereafter.

During the meeting, council will consider accepting a Tennessee Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division Vision 100 Grant for $1,217,000 with a local match of $70 million, of which $45 million is appropriated in the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget. An additional $25 million is expected to be appropriated to cover the full local match.

Council is also expected to consider a contract with the TDOT Aeronautics Division for professional design services for the construction of 14 to 17 T Hangars at the Lebanon Municipal Airport, of which, the city must match with $4,750. Funds are covered in the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget to cover the local match.
