Lebanon man found lying in road, stabbed

Lebanon Police are continuing an investigation into a stabbing incident that sent one man to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m., Sunday, June 15. Lebanon Police responded to the area of 232 Cainsville Road after receiving a call regarding a person who had been stabbed and was lying in the roadway.

Chief Scott Bowen said a passing motorist saw the man in the roadway and swerved to avoid hitting him. The driver then pulled over to check on the subject.

Officers found the victim, identified as Tony Cason of Lebanon, to have several stab wounds. Cason had reportedly been involved in an altercation with his ex-girlfriend who lives near the area where he was found.

Cason was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

The case remains under investigation.
