Lebanon High volleyball standout Alex Britt signed scholarship papers Wednesday, May 21 with Freed Hardeman University. Located in Henderson, FHU is a member of the American Midwest Conference -- a new NAIA league.

A middle hitter, Britt was a two-time All-District 9-AAA selection and was a four year starter at LHS.

The Lady Lions wrapped up their first year in the American Midwest with a record of 8-3 / 18-9 overall, after a several-year run of domination in the TranSouth Conference.

Most recently, 2011 was one of the most successful seasons in program history as FHU won its fourth conference championship in the five years and advanced to the final site of the NAIA National Tournament for the first time ever.  FHU also received its first national ranking during the season, peaking at No. 21.
