The Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee will sponsor a candidate forum on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Winfree Bryant Middle School.

The chamber has invited candidates for the following offices: State House districts 46 and 57, Lebanon mayor and Lebanon City Council - wards 1, 2 and 5.

"As an organization whose mission is to serve the business community and promote economic development, the chamber makes it a priority of staying abreast of matters in our government," said Phillip Carter, vice-chair of the government relations committee and executive director of communications and marketing at Cumberland University. "The chamber believes citizens should be informed about candidates seeking office and their position on important issues that affect our community."

During the forum, candidates will be introduced and presented with questions by members of the local media. The forum will be a question-and-answer format. The event is free, and all voters are encouraged to attend.
