To the Editor:
I want to make a statement about the cat situation in Mt. Juliet. The animal shelter has stopped taking in cats from the streets, and this is a big problem. Let's say there is one pregnant feral cat in the area. That one cat can turn into thousands of cats, so with thousands of feral cats all over the streets, in the dumpsters and behind schools and neighborhoods, this can cause chaos and spread disease throughout the Mt. Juliet area. The city should start funding the shelter to be open to the citizens instead of only appointments.
