To the Editor:
On Wednesday, we moved a UH-1H helicopter from Nashville to Lebanon to be restored and put in the Wilson County Veterans Museum, which is slated to open later this year. This was a logistically heavy project, and everything had to go exactly as planned so that there was no damage done to the aircraft and, more importantly, no damage done to people or bridges on the way back to Lebanon. The following people volunteered to help us make this mission a success, and I want to thank them for their time and hard work: Conrad Construction and their driver James Shaffer, Lebanon Police Chief Mike Justice (and staff), Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan (and staff), Ron Dowdy, CWO (Ret.) and Bill James, Staff Sgt. (Ret.). I am sure I'm leaving a few out but wanted to say thank you for the invaluable assistance given by these folks.
