LHS hosts State Farm Classic

Lebanon High's Campbell Brandon Gymnasium will be the site of annual State Farm Insurance Thanksgiving Classic, sponsored by John Greer.
Two days of basketball action are planned Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26.

LEBANON -- Wilson Central overcame a sluggish start in Friday morning's 60-25 win over Knoxville's Grace Christian in the opening round of the State Farm Thanksgiving Classic at Lebanon High's Campbell Brandon Gymnasium.
The Lady Wildcats led 10-8 after one quarter but outscored Grace 15-2 in the second period to take a 25-10 lead into intermission.
WC's Addison Byrd led all scorers with 16 points while ninth grader Lindsey Freeman added 12 off the bench.
Bailey Kaposy chipped in with nine points, Piper Elrod had six while Jasmin Angel and Kaylee Richetto each had five.
Now 5-0 on the season, Wilson Central is scheduled to play Oakland Saturday at 1 p.m. in the second round of the classic.
