LHS wins 7AAA track title

LHS posted first place finished in eight events, including: Jasmin Brooks in the 100m (12.5), Icelyn Elie in the high hurdles (15.44), the 4 X 100 relay team of Brooks, Brianna Payton, Deleisha Palmer and Aquarius Huddleston (51:55), 4 X 200 relay team of Brooks, Payton, Palmer and Huddleston (1:49.36 new school record); Emile Dewaal in the pole vault (8’, which ties her school record).

Elie swept to wins in three more events – the high jump 4’10" ; the long jump 17’3"; and the triple jump 35’6 ½".

Lebanon’s boys finished second to Riverdale in the 7AAA meet 253 to 153.

Blue Devil senior Drew Fairchild set a new school record with a time of 10.55 to win the 100m dash.

Josh Benson won the 800m with a time of 2:07; Michael Hollingsworth won the high hurdles with a new school record time of 14.56; and D.D. Lattimore won the shot put with a throw of 49’10"

Lebanon’s quartet of Calderon Williams, William Benford, Adrian Woods and Fairchild swept the 4 X 100 and 4 X 200 relays. They won the 4 X 100 with a time of 42.78 and set a new school record in the 4 X 200 with a time of 1:30.15. The Blue Devils will return to Riverdale May 7 - 8 for the Region Championships.
