LHS X-country places 5th

LAFAYETTE -- Lebanon High’s cross-country team turned in a pair of solid performances Saturday in the Macon County Invitational.

Lebanon’s boys finished fifth out of 15 teams with 166 points.

Derek Decker posted a time of 18:48 and finished tenth. Weston White ran a 19:32, good enough for 27th place. Justin Sandefur ran a 20:05; Taylor Sturm ran a 20:36; Daniel Zajac finished in 20:39 and Gage Weldy clocked a 20:56.

Lebanon’s girls finished eighth in a ten-team field with 202 points.

Ali Trull paced the LHS girls with a time of 23:17, good enough for 13th place overall. Megan Washburn ran a 19:23 for 55th place while Katherine Hopper clocked 29:31 for 56th. Page Brown ran a 30:21; Brianna Price finished in 33:18; Taylor Carrick ran a 33:18 and Kachina Yahola ran a 34:26.

LHS will run in the Columbia Invitational at the Rippavilla Plantation Saturday, Sept. 6.
