LEBANON -- Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, July 5 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Ligon, 93, of Lebanon.
Born December 19, 1916 in Trousdale County to the late Mose and Ola Gilmore King, she died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the University Medical Center.
Mrs. Ligon was a homemaker and member of the Bartons Creek Baptist Church.
Services were conducted by Rev. W.L. Baker, Rev. Terry Cathey and Rev. Robert Amason officiating. Interment followed in the Bartons Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include: She is survived by children Randall (Kim) Ligon and Linda Patterson of Lebanon and step-children Judy (Roger) Murray of Destin, FL and Gary (Barbara) Ligon of Jackson.
Also surviving are grandchildren LeAnn (Tim) Allen, Scott (Kellie) Ligon, Tonya (Larry) Jones, Shaun (Lorrie) Patterson, Sunshine Curtis, Shawna (J.J.) Jones, Shanoa (Bobby Eastland) Curtis; brother Boyd King; sister Edna Tomlinson -- all of Lebanon; along with 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Merlyn Ligon and William Ligon; infant daughter Martha Ola Ligon; siblings Lucille Lehew, Virginia Johnson, Ethel Mazor, Aline Williams, Doverd, Lon and Robert King; son-in-law Eugene Patterson.
Active pallbearers: Shaun Patterson, Scott Ligon, Tim Allen, Larry and J.J. Jones and Jerry King. Honorary: nephews and special friend, Tommy Lothridge, nurses and staff of UMC and Cedars Health Care.
