CONCORD -- Graveside services were held Thursday afternoon, December 11 at the Masonic Cemetery in Knox County for Mrs. Hale, 69, of Old Hickory.
A member of Hickory Hills Baptist Church and retired from the Maintenance Division of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Old Hickory District, she died Dec. 7, 2008.
Mrs. Hale was very involved in the Mt. Juliet Little League Girls Softball. In 1974 she was the first coach to take a girls softball team from Mt. Juliet to the State Championship – winning State and Regional championships.
Local services were held Wednesday at the Bond Memorial Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jeff Whited.
Survivors include: her husband of 52 years Alvin Hale of Old Hickory; children Tony (Kim) Hale of Lenoir City; Danny (Jean) Hale of Gallatin and Lysa Smith of St. Louis, Missouri.
Also surviving are siblings James Brashier and Ruth Loy; grandchildren Ryan Smith, Brittani Hale, Courtney Smith, Megan Hale, Cassidy Hale and Lindsey Hale.
The daughter of the late James Thomas and Edith Jane Fox Brashier., she was also preceded in death by son Barry Hale and sisters Helen Johnson, Katherine Knox and Jane Irvin.
Bond Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
