Local educator, bestselling author and award-winning songwriter Thornton Cline will debut his second mystery/thriller novel, "A Travesty of Justice" at the Bay Area Book Festival partnered with the San Francisco Chronicle in Berkley, Calif. this weekend.

His book will also debut at the Printers Row Literature Festival in Chicago on June 11 and 12. Over 150,000 booklovers are expected to attend each event, and featured guest speakers include the likes of Buzz Aldrin, Sidney Blumenthal, Ethan Hawke, Marcia Clark and Rick Bayless.

Cline's first children's book, "The Amazing Incredible Shrinking Violin," zoomed all the way up to Number One on the Amazon books list for children's music books in February 2015.

Cline has been honored with "Songwriter of the Year" twice in a row for his hit song, "Love is the Reason," recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck and Gloria Gaynor. He is the author of four children's books, two novels and four non-fiction books. He has been nominated several times for the Dove and Grammy awards and is a nationally known speaker, musician and teacher.

Cline, who lives in Hendersonville with his wife, teaches violin and strings at Cumberland University and the Cumberland Arts Academy.
