FCS 57, Trousdale Co. 39
LEBANON -- A solid team effort by Friendship Christian overcame a 24-point outburst from Trousdale County's Hannah Gregory in Tuesday's 57-39 victory over the Lady Yellowjackets at the Bay Family Sportsplex. Gregory was on fire for TCHS, drilling five 3-pointers, several from deep on the wing.
However, FCS countered with 18 points from Ashlyn Pittman and 13 from Abbey Hinton. Hailey Pittman added nine and Taylor Patterson three.
The Lady Commanders improved to 5-3 on the season with the win.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, Friendship dropped a 48-28 decision at Middle Tennessee Christian School.
FCS is scheduled to host Providence Christian Friday night at 6 p.m.
(girls) Wilson Central 51, Beech 39
GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central tuned up for tonight's District 9-AAA contest at Lebanon High by knocking off Beech 51-39 at home on Tuesday.
Down 8-2 in the early going, the Lady Wildcats rallied to lead 19-15 at intermission and cruised in with a solid second half.
Junior Kendall Spray led all scorers with 20 points as Wilson Central improved to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in the district. Kayla Jackson and Addison Byrd each had 11 points.
(girls) Mt. Juliet 57, Gallatin 28
GALLATIN -- Mt. Juliet High steam-rolled Gallatin High 57-28 Tuesday, improving to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in District 9-AAA.
Senior sisters Ronjanae and Raeyanna DeGray had 16 points apiece for the Lady Bears. Summer Adams added 12 and Karly Dyer had six.
Mt. Juliet is scheduled to visit Portland Friday night for a 6 p.m. contest.
(girls) Watertown 65, Red Boiling Springs 48
RED BOILING SPRINGS -- DaeDae Nunley was a force inside with 23 points as Watertown High thumped Red Boiling Springs 65-48 Tuesday night.
The Purple Tigerettes took control early with a 22-5 lead and never looked back.
Katie Dalton ripped four 3-pointers for her 12 points while Bay Cole had nine and Jasmine High seven.
With the win, Watertown improved to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in District 8-A.
The Purple Tigerettes are scheduled to host Monterey Friday at 6 p.m.
(girls) Hendersonville 44, Lebanon 41
HENDERSONVILLE -- Lebanon High's Devilettes dropped to 2-4 on the season and 0-2 in District 9-AAA following Tuesday night's 44-41 loss at Hendersonville.
Trailing 24-10 at intermission, LHS rallied to take a 31-29 lead toward the end of the third period, only to see the Lady Commandos stage a fourth quarter comeback.
Jameka Dowell led Lebanon with 14 points while Kamiya Ector had 12 and Morgan Bruce chipped in with 10 points.
Lebanon will host Wilson Central Friday at 6:30 p.m. LHS Sports Hall of Fame activities will be held between games of the doubleheader.
