Watertown High’s basketball teams opened the 2013-2014 season with a doubleheader sweep over visiting Boyd Christian Monday in a pair of TSSAA Hall of Champions games.

Three Tigerettes reached double figures in Monday’s lopsided 90-31 victory over Boyd Christian Academy.
Shelby Mofield scored a game-high 23 points for Watertown, as she tied a school record with seven three-pointers. Post player Dae Dae Nunnley added 19 points and forward Bay Cole chipped in with 13.
Watertown will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 16 in Smithville. A 1 p.m. Hall of Champions game is planned at DeKalb County High vs. the Chattanooga Patriots, followed by a 4:45 p.m. game against Moore County High.

Freshman Seth Price and senior Ty Jobe scored 14 points each as Watertown thumped Boyd Christian Academy 54-15 Monday in a TSSAA Hall of Champions contest.Dylan Speck added a dozen points for the winners, who led 35-4 at intermission.
The Purple Tigers are scheduled to play two more Hall of Champions games Saturday in Smithville. A 9:15 a.m. contest vs. Warren County High at DeKalb County High is scheduled, along with a 1 p.m. game vs. Moore County at Northside Elementary School.
