Responding officers issued a Be On the Lookout, or BOLO, with a description of the suspect and his vehicle to surrounding law enforcement agencies. WCSD Deputies then spotted a vehicle matching the description on Shop Springs Road approximately an hour later.
The driver, identified as Patterson, was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail. Bowen said property was recovered from Pattersons vehicle that indicated he was connected with the robbery.
Bowen said the cooperation of the WCSD and diligent work of the responding LPD officers led to the quick arrest.
Without the Sheriffs Department working with us the way they did, we may not have arrested him so quickly, Bowen said. It just shows the importance of us working together.
As of press time for this story, Patterson remained in custody at the Jail with a $40,000 bond.
