Most of us know that the 21st Century is all about information. And the quickest, most detailed and economical way to get that information to the public is the focus of WebVideo2Go- a web distribution company that assists clients in taking video content and preparing it for distribution over the internet.

Walter Bankston is pictured with his wife, Kenyatta and their childrenChief Visionary for WebVideo2Go, Walter Bankston, says that this service is relatively new to this area but when people realize what an excellent communication tool it is, the uses can be endless. “Businesses can use their video as an online training tool for employees, to distribute a corporate message out to a group via the web or as a way to explain the services their business offers on their webpage.”

Born in the mid western city of Dayton, Ohio, Bankston has been in the Information Technology field for more than 20 years. He made a move to the south in the late 1980’s when he was part owner in a cell phone company. “I was trying to sell people on cell phones before it was cool to have one.” Bankston’s IT experience has taken him all over the world. He has lived in the Caribbean, Canada and several locations in the states. It was his position with American Express as Tech Analyst where his interest in web video really started to peak.

“Businesses on the west coast were really utilizing the web by using training videos they created in-house. This can be time consuming for a department and it came to me that this would be something a company could outsource.” The office Bankston works out of is filled with video cameras, computer equipment and sound boards. This is where he sits to develop scripts, produce video content, edit for web distribution and publish content to the web or any other format required. The goal, Bankston says, is to prepare his client’s customers to listen while they [clients] communicate their company message.

Headquartered in Lebanon, TN, is a local company dedicated to delivering world class web video production services and consultation to our global neighbors and friends. “With over 20 years of direct experience in the audio/ video, information technologies, and marketing industries, we are well positioned and prepared to help you achieve your organizational communication objectives.”

Webvideo2Go is here to help advertise, educate, demonstrate, communicate and document. Bankston says if your goal is to advertise, the benefits of using this service are endless. “The web is just a more economical way to deliver your message rather than traditional broadcast TV or radio.” He adds that in today’s society it’s totally feasible to produce and deliver customized video content based on the needs of a business and its target audience. “This method really comes with the promise of an interactive customer relationship and this encourages a customer to respond to the message and interact with an organization.”

While his business is seeing some growth it’s his day job as an IT consultant that keeps his interest in web video going. The IT business forces him to travel and relocate often but since settling into life in Wilson County more than two years ago with his wife, Kenyatta and two small children, the Bankston’s are in no hurry to move. “I have actually received several job offers but we love it here so much I’ve turned them down. The people here make it a wonderful place to live and raise a family.”

While Wilson County hardly compares to the fast paced style of Memphis, Arizona or Baltimore, it’s this county’s laid back style and easy access to Nashville that has convinced this small business owner that this is the perfect place to watch his dream come alive.
