A crew from Middle Tennessee Electric arrived and shut off power to the building. Firefighters reportedly attacked the fire from the roof, cutting a hole in order to apply water to the area. Interior damage was limited to smoke and water.
Longtime local eatery Snow White Drive-In also experienced some weather-related stress Wednesday.
The restaurant closed early after lightning hit a nearby transformer and half of their power was lost.
Owner Billy Wyatt said that although some of their food supply did spoil due to the loss of power, they will be back open on Friday for business.
