Lebanon Police arrested a man Tuesday night after he reportedly admitted stealing tools and filing a false report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to a call about a theft at approximately 9:30 p.m., a news release from the Lebanon Police Department said. The victim told police that someone stole his tools from his garage. Officers spoke with the neighbor, identified as Seth Graves, 21, of 704 Vanview Drive, Lebanon, who had told his neighbor, then told police that he saw a man with a gray shirt leave the victim’s garage earlier that day.

The victim told police that Graves had sent him several text messages that day asking if he or his wife were home. After further questioning, the news release said, Graves reportedly admitted to stealing the tools. He retrieved the items, and they were returned to the victim.

Graves was charged with aggravated burglary and filing a false report.
