Lucille Forbes Green, age 99 of Lebanon passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at her home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Forbes Green will be 2 p.m, Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Brother Don McElroy and Brother David Freeman officiating.
Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday after 12 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo.
Born May 5, 1917, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Lizzie Watson Forbes. She was a homemaker and an active member of First Baptist Church and LLL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan V. Green; son in law, Burton Purcell; and two sisters, Elizabeth Wood and Lillie Mae Hall.
She is survived by three daughters, Danice Green Purcell, Kathy Green Lowery, and Sherrie O. Green; five grandchildren, Brian (Susie) Purcell, Tracy (Jeff) Nicholas, Russell Purcell, Wendi Lowery (Danny) Dalby, and Jack Daniel (Susannah) Lowery; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; three nieces, Barbara (Don) McDaniel, Jannine Cross, and Patricia (Joe) Bruce; nephew, Jack (Barbara) Wood; and dear friend, Carol Wintroub.
Honorary pallbearers are Ruth/Donnell Sunday School Class and her faithful caregivers, Peggy Ulmer, Becky Mathais, Crystal Phillips, Faye Cox, Debra Wright, Angela Wesson, Susie Thomas, and Joette Foxworth.
Active pallbearers are Brian Purcell, Russell Purcell, Jack Daniel Lowery, Danny Dalby, Jeff Nicholas, B. F. Lowery, and Bill McCrary.
