Mackey voted whats best for community

To the Editor:

In my opinion, the people of Wilson County owe a debt of gratitude to the newly elected Chair of the County Election Commission Dolores Mackey. She bravely chose to vote for what was best for the community rather than toe the party line per the dictates of State Election Commissioner Jimmy Wallace or whoever.

How much better off we all would be if all our elected officials chose to vote similarly for what is best for everyone.

In any event, politics has no place in the Election Commission where impartiality rules. D.P. Thurley Lebanon
