One man was injured after his vehicle overturned Tuesday afternoon on the Lebanon Public Square.

Lebanon Police Office Steve Green said Larry Garner of Hunter’s Creek Apartments in Lebanon was driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Highway 231 and was approaching the Square past the Burger King restaurant. A vehicle ahead of Garner’s, also going southbound, had stopped, but Garner somehow became stuck between that vehicle and a street sign.

Garner then was able to move ahead but sideswiped another vehicle, a 2004 Chevy 3500 Silverado driven by Christopher Hall, also of Hunter’s Creek Apartments in Lebanon. Hall stopped but Garner allegedly backed up and struck Hall’s vehicle again. Garner then moved forward but struck a guide wire and his truck flipped over on the driver’s side.

Green said Garner was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The officer said it was unknown if seat belts were worn. Green said Garner admitted to taking a prescription medication, but no bottle was found in the truck. Garner was cited with reckless driving.
