LEBANON -- Trenton Bell, 21, is being charged with criminal homicide after allegedly killing his girlfriend on Wednesday night.

Lebanon Police Officers responded to a suicide call around midnight on February 18 at 909 Peyton Circle. Bell told the responding officers that his girlfriend, Sydney Green, 19, had committed suicide.

She was found unresponsive in the bathtub and taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives found that the couple had been involved in a domestic altercation inside the apartment and determined that Bell had killed her and attempted to stage the crime scene to appear as a suicide.

Bell, a Chattanooga native and a graduate of Hunters Lane High School, is being held at the Wilson County Jail on $2 million bond. Bell is a former Cumberland University student and was on the wrestling team for a brief time in 2012.
