Man nabbed on drug, weapons charges

Charjoray Weir, 35, of Lebanon, was the target of an investigation which led to the search warrant, the news release said, and noted that police reportedly seized approximately 1 pound of marijuana, scales and small plastic bags commonly used for the distribution of marijuana. In addition, Weir reportedly also had pills in his possession for which he did not have a prescription.

The release said that Weir also reportedly had two loaded guns, one of which had allegedly been stolen from Nashville in 2010.

Police also seized an undisclosed amount of money.

Lebanon Police Chief Scott Bowen said the homicide Weir pled guilty to occurred on Aug. 14, 1998, in the 200 block of Inman Court.

There was some type of dispute between the victim and him, and the victim was shot and found by police a short time later.

Weir, Bowen said, was arrested and charged on Aug. 15, 1998 and pled guilty to the second-degree murder charge on Jan. 22, 1999. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and was released on June 24, 2011.

As a result of his arrest on Monday, Weir was charged with Possession of Schedule VI for resale, Simple Possession of Schedule II, Simple Possession of Schedule III, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon for a convicted felon, Possession of a weapon in the commission of a dangerous felony, Drug Paraphernalia and Theft of Property.
